Ownership and Control

If you want to call something European, you need to actually own and control it. Not just register a company here. Not just fly a flag over it. Real ownership, real control, or it doesn't count as sovereign.

Too much of what gets called "European" today is actually owned or controlled somewhere else. That's not sovereignty. It's the appearance of sovereignty, borrowed for as long as it's convenient for whoever actually holds the reins.

This applies to companies, to infrastructure, to technology, to data. The test is always the same: who actually decides what happens to this thing? If the honest answer isn't "us," then it isn't ours, no matter what the paperwork says.
